More than 20 international students from the School of International Education at Jiangsu University of Technology took part in a traditional Chinese medicine experience event in Changzhou on Nov 14.
Experts from Changzhou Traditional Chinese Medicine Hospital provided on-site health consultations for both the students and nearby residents. The event also featured a variety of interactive activities, including demonstrations of TCM techniques, tastings of herbal teas, displays of medicinal ointment, samplings of therapeutic cuisine, and sessions teaching traditional health-preserving exercises.
The students had the opportunity to try acupuncture, tuina massage, guasha (scraping therapy), fire cupping, and auricular acupoint therapy, gaining firsthand exposure to TCM practices.
An AI-powered TCM constitution assessment system drew particular interest. Using digital tools to examine the tongue, face, and pulse, doctors combined the results with real-time consultations to offer personalized wellness plans covering diet, exercise, and daily habits.
The event provided an immersive introduction to TCM culture, helping international students better understand the philosophy and techniques behind this traditional medical practice.
