Qingming Festival, one of the 24 solar terms in the traditional Chinese lunar calendar, is also a traditional Chinese festival. Qingming Festival, also known as Tomb-Sweeping Day, is a time when all things are clean, vibrant, and full of life, signifying the arrival of spring, with rising temperatures and the earth presenting a scene of vitality and brightness. It is the perfect time for outdoor spring outings and tomb-sweeping ceremonies.

As the traditional Chinese festival of Qingming approaches, the International Education Institute of Tianjin Chengjian University organized an event for foreign students to experience traditional Qingming cultural activities such as spring outings, tasting Qingtuan (green rice ball), and flying kites. A Chinese language teacher vividly and comprehensively explained the historical origins, cultural significance, and traditional customs of Qingming Festival to the international students in both Chinese and English.
