More than 20 foreign students from countries including Pakistan, Afghanistan, and Russia visited the Renfengli Historical and Cultural District in Yangzhou, Jiangsu province on Feb 22 to immerse themselves in the traditional customs of the Chinese Lantern Festival.

At the event, the international students from Yangzhou Polytechnic College participated in activities such as making glutinous rice balls, crafting festive lanterns and Yangzhou paper-cuts. Pang Jiandong, a representative inheritor of Yangzhou paper-cutting, designed a small dragon pattern for the international students, which is lifelike and, at the same time, easy to learn.
