A cultural event aimed at fostering cross-cultural understanding was organized by a group of volunteers from the Jiangsu University's School of Medicine on Jan 13, during which a number of international students were invited to partake in an engaging exploration of traditional Chinese culture.
During the event, the volunteers provided insights into the origin of the upcoming Spring Festival and Chinese theater culture. They guided the international students through activities such as creating Peking Opera facial masks and crafting paper-cuts used to decorate windows.

Sara, one of the foreign students, said: "This is more than admiring art from a distance. The hands-on experience connects us with traditional Chinese art on a personal level."
The foreign students also took the opportunity to share their own countries' traditional festivals and cultures, facilitating a meaningful exchange of cultural practices between China and other nations.
