Twenty international students of Shanghai University who hail from over 10 countries visited the sixth China International Import Expo (CIIE), which was held at the National Exhibition and Convention Center (Shanghai) from Nov 5 to 10.

Amil Asiful Islam, a student from Bangladesh, described the visit as a truly open and exchange-oriented experience.

During the event, Islam explored different exhibition areas, including those representing provinces and cities in China. He was particularly taken by a classical Chinese dance performance at the Shaanxi Pavilion and the experience of learning about rice-based wines. He also enjoyed tasting authentic Shandong cuisine at the Shandong Pavilion.

In the food and agricultural product exhibition area, Islam savored various dishes from around the world while learning about their production processes. He was also inspired by the innovative technologies on display in the automobile exhibition area.

At the Bangladesh Pavilion, Islam used his fluent Chinese skills to assist his fellow countrymen in negotiating with Chinese investors.
