Themed "International Youth Talent: Driving High-Quality Development", the 2023 Beijing-Tianjin-Hebei International Youth Talent Matchmaking Conference, or 2023 GT2HR, was held in Shougang Park in Beijing on Sept 4.

In a collaborative move, relevant departments from Beijing, Tianjin, and Hebei province jointly announced the establishment of the Beijing-Tianjin-Hebei foreign talent service consortium, marking a new beginning of providing high-level services to foreign talents across the region.

Nearly 1,000 international job positions were jointly announced by entities in the Beijing-Tianjin-Hebei region, marking a significant effort to attract international talents to engage in research and innovation in the region.

Starting from Sept 8, a streamlined process will be implemented throughout Beijing, ensuring that all foreign talents can obtain both work permits and work-related residence permits within just five working days.

During the job matching session, foreign students graduating from the Beijing Institute of Technology engaged in face-to-face discussions with various employers, including Beijing Automotive Group Co Ltd, Ping An Insurance (Group) Company of China Ltd, the Capital University of Economics and Business in Beijing, and Nankai University in Tianjin. A total of 105 resumes were collected on-site.

The GT2HR will continue to host a series of events, including enterprise visits, university engagement activities and job matching opportunities, both online and offline. These initiatives aim to strengthen the bridge between employers in the Beijing-Tianjin-Hebei region and international talents, thus supporting the high-quality development goals of the region.

The event was hosted by the Beijing Overseas Talents Center, in collaboration with the Tianjin Science and Technology Bureau and the Hebei Provincial Department of Human Resources and Social Security.

Over 100 participants, including representatives from government departments, employers, and international students, attended the event.
