Foreign students from Donghua University recently delved into traditional Chinese porcelain art during a cultural experience activity at the Shanghai Qingu Art Museum in Jiading district.

A diversity of exquisite porcelain works displayed at the museum fascinated the students.

At the Ceramic Center, the students learned about the meticulous process of painting and firing pottery. They witnessed the transformation of raw materials into finished ceramic pieces, gaining a deeper understanding and appreciation for porcelain art.

Guided by a porcelain teacher, each student selected their preferred porcelain vessel and used paint to bring life to their own unique pottery creations, showcasing their artistic flair and creativity. Throughout the process, they not only developed hands-on skills but also formed close friendships with each other.

Porcelain art, a great contribution of the Chinese nation to world civilization, has been passed down through generations. The students said the activity allowed them to immerse themselves in the beauty of traditional Chinese porcelain art.
