The opening ceremony of the China-Israel Youth Science and Technology Innovation Camp was held on Aug 14 at the China Israel Changzhou Innovation Park in Changzhou, East China's Jiangsu province.
Spanning four weeks, the training camp is structured into two parts: training sessions and internships. Twenty-one Israeli students from the Israel campus of the University of International Business and Economics engaged in a variety of activities including lectures and on-site visits.
Zhao Zhongxiu, principal of UIBE, noted that the university's Israel campus is the first of its kind. He expressed his hope that the participants of this event will seize the opportunity to experience the rich cultural heritage and vibrant innovation atmosphere of Changzhou and produce more creative ideas through exchange and collaboration.
Sheng Lei, mayor of Changzhou, said that the Changzhou Innovation Park has persistently centered its efforts on attracting young talents and aims to become a top destination where Israeli youth can study and launch startups in China.
