Tongji University recently held the closing ceremony of the latest Shanghai Summer School which was themed "Chinese Urban and Architectural Culture: History and Future".
The one-month summer school attracted 40 students from five European countries and offered courses, lectures and field trips that introduced Chinese architecture and culture to the foreign students.
In his speech at the ceremony, Reichard Nando Karl Dominik said that the past few weeks have allowed him and fellow students to better understand China.
Tongji University organizes the Shanghai Summer School every year for European students to help them learn about Chinese language and culture.
