A group of nearly 30 international students from countries along the Belt and Road recently visited the Sidun Site in Changzhou, East China's Jiangsu province to explore Chinese culture during the late Neolithic period.

The students, who are studying at Jiangsu University of Technology in Changzhou, listened as staff members introduced them to cultural relics and had the chance to see how the relics are restored.

The Sidun Site, discovered in 1973, is a key national cultural heritage site which is widely recognized as a hub of the Liangzhu Culture dating from about 5,000 years ago. Many institutions, including the Nanjing Museum and Changzhou Museum, have conducted five archaeological excavations at the site and unearthed a large amount of jade. The sixth excavation is currently being carried out.

After the visit, participating students expressed their excitement and appreciation for the opportunity to engage with diverse cultures and civilizations and said they would further promote Chinese culture worldwide.
