Shanghai University recently celebrated its 10th International Cultural Festival and 16th Exhibition of International Culture and Customs on campus.
The celebratory event attracted over 1,000 guests, teachers and students from more than 50 countries.
The cultural festival kicked off with a national costume show presented by international students, who put up song and dance performances that featured their national cultures and demonstrated the diversity, inclusiveness and harmonious coexistence of global cultures at Shanghai University.
Dozens of booths showcasing customs and cultures around the world and offering delicious delicacies from many countries were set up during the event.
The international students also experienced traditional Chinese games that saw them playing with marbles and olive nuts, rolling hoops, playing with Chinese yo-yos, and skipping with rubber bands.
The annual festival celebrates and showcases diversity and provides a platform for students from different countries to display their talents and their national cultures as well as to building mutual understanding and make new friends.
