From April 21 to 23, 159 international students from East China Normal University in Shanghai visited Suzhou and Hangzhou.
Organized by the university's Global Education Center, the two field trips were part of the extracurricular activities for the 2023 spring semester.
During their tour, the students visited poplar attractions, including the West Lake, Lingyin Temple and Tangqi Ancient Town in Hangzhou, as well as the Suzhou Museum, Zhuozheng Garden, Tiger Hill and Mudu Ancient Town in Suzhou.
The trip allowed the students to admire the enchanting scenery of and experience the culture of typical Jiangnan-style cities. Jiangnan refers to the region south of the Yangtze River.
The foreign students also got to view ancient villages and rural residences, study the profound culture and history of the two cities, and make new friends during the three-day tour.
