Education is the bedrock of the society. My college; University of South China is by a large margin one of the best places to attain formal education. While the above statement might sound bold, this article would explain the reasons why my college can back up the bold statement. Features possessed by my campus smoothens the learning curve and takes stress away from education. My college – always filled with a treasure trove of memories, which is the best part of my life. It was indeed a paradise. For me, it was a home away from home. Each classroom that I have sat in, had made an indelible mark on my memory.

The most significant part of my school memory revolves around the teachers. They are the incarnation of the divine. They kindle our lives with the bright light of knowledge and help us to imbibe the values to live. We cannot, ignore the contributions of the teachers, as they played a considerable role in molding a student’s life.

At first, a student tries to imitate the teacher and gradually makes them the role models. The moral values inherited during school life can last for a lifetime. The way the teachers nurtures and loves the students is heart rendering. We can openly share our anxieties and frustrations with our teachers.Besides all these, another best thing about school is our friends. It is the place where any human begins to socialize. You enter into a new realm of social life at school. Hence your acquaintance at school becomes family. As you grow up, the influence of your peer group holds a vital role in your character formation. The hilarious moments with the friends are irreplaceable.

When I first travelled from Nepal to China , my excitation tore the limit and I was mesmerized to see the city in night. It was beautiful indeed. We landed at Changsha. From airport I travelled on train for the first time to Hengyang and then by taxi to reach to my campus dormitory. I couldn't see all my college in the same night because it was late and we were tired too. When we reached the dorm , my seniors had prepared dinner for us . We finished eating and went directly to bed. The other morning was surprising. It was the first time in my life that I woke up at 1:00 am. We freshened up and went out for lunch.

Our seniors threw party for us and also helped us in buying stuffs to be needed for our room. They also introduced us to the Chinese shopkeepers and told them to provide us thing unless we didn't learn the language as required. Wherever we used to go , Chinese people started talking to us in an exciting manner and asking for click pictures with them ; how could I resist as I was equally excited. For few days we were very busy buying things. We couldn't disturb our senior much because they were busy studying still they took us for visit to parks and malls.

We were very much familiar after that. I started learning Chinese through an app unless the classes started which helped me a lot in making conversation with Chinese people. We then started sharing knowledge about each other's city's and I was amazed to hear that Hengyang was equally as be a as Janakpur.

Hengyang is the second largest city of Hunan Province. Hengyang is a busy and growing industrial City Known as the 'Bright Pearl in Southern China' and as 'Wild Goose City. Hengyang has a humid subtropical climate , with four distinct seasons. Spring is subject to heavy rainfall, while the summers are long, hot, and humid with lesser rainfall, and autumn is comfortable and rather dry. Winter is rather brief, rain can be frequent but that year something different happened.

From 2018 December to mid 2019 , the rainfall didn't stop. We all foreign students were surprised to see such a long rainy season but then our teacher explained that this was the first time in Hengyang that it rained for so long.

Though there was heavy rain, me and one of my Pakistani friend never stopped going out. We were always drenched in rain and it was a big fun. There were not any single road that we didn't stepped in Hengyang. After getting wet when we reached near the campus , there was a tea shop which made us warm every time . Drinking tea in such weather felt like heaven. We used to get hungry too after a long visit. Nearby their used to be a lady selling fried rice. Her fried rice and burning candle fulfilled both our needs , getting dried and filling tummy.

In the university, we frequently had many cultural programme which made us share our culture and love with Chinese teachers and other foreign students. I loved this thought about my college. Our college also organised certain seminars regarding the safety measures to be taken during emergency like fire , robbery , crimes and how to tackle such obstacles.

These basic things are very important in a people's life which they don't care but our college thought us and I feel very happy about it. To put it in a nutshell , my college is an other home for me and I feel blessed studying here.

It taught me well to brighten up my future and do good for both my nation and for China for sure. Our college provides a lot of opportunity to all kind of students in all fields. Whether the student is better in study , sports , music , dancing , cooking or at any hobbies they are good at , our college provides them path , needs and all the help required.

My experience in China will always remain in my heart and I will feel blessed if in future I could do something for China or for my university of South China.
