The World Historic and Cultural Canal Cities Cooperation Organization (WCCO), which is headquartered in Yangzhou, East China's Jiangsu province, launched a short video activity involving international students from Yangzhou University on Nov 13.

Students from more than 50 different countries in the university will capture videos of 12 scenic spots in Yangzhou that were determined by netizens and experts. The spots include the Slender West Lake, Shaobo Ancient Town, Guazhou Ancient Ferry, and Gaomin Temple.

The foreign photographers will also go to Yechun Teahouse, a local brand with more than 200 years of history, to film the preparation of 12 Yangzhou dishes to match the 12 scenic spots.

The videos will be published on a number of online platforms.

Yangzhou represents China's efforts to pursue harmony between human and nature, said an Egyptian doctoral student who is studying at the College of Horticulture and Plant Protection of Yangzhou University at the launch ceremony.
