Shanghai Normal University has 440 international students from 55 countries enrolled in 32 majors at 14 colleges this fall.
There are 378 international students pursuing academic degrees, including 68 preparatory students, 200 undergraduate students and 110 graduate students.
Among them, 242 students have earned various national and local scholarships, including 68 Chinese Government Scholarship recipients, 36 International Chinese Language Teacher Scholarship recipients, and 138 Shanghai Municipal Government Scholarship recipients.
Shanghai Normal University held an opening ceremony to welcome the international students on Sept 23.
