The Beijing Institute of Technology (BIT) welcomed new international students this semester on Sept 1. More than 600 students from 94 countries gathered online.
Wang Ying, Director of the BIT Office of International Students, gave an opening speech. She encouraged students to set up goals for their university life in China and integrate into Chinese culture so as to make more progress.
The BIT prepared a series of orientation activities to help students learn more about China and adapt to campus life, which gave them warmth when living in a foreign country.
Founded in 1940, the BIT is one of the key universities in China. It is committed to cultivating high-level global leaders with international vision, a talent for competition and the ability to cooperate in global political economy, culture education and science and technology.
