New Shanghai University international students learned about Shanghai University and its history during a campus tour on Sept 6.

Together with Chinese students, they visited the Memorial Hall of Qian Weichang, a well-known Chinese scientist and former president of Shanghai University, and the Museum of Shanghai University History.

Some students said that Qian's patriotism and educational philosophy as well as Shanghai University's glorious history and distinctive education system left a deep impression on them.

The visits were organized by the College of International Education as part of student orientation.
