East China University of Science and Technology (ECUST)'s 2022 Fall Semester Pre-university Program for international students is now accepting applications.
ECUST is an official HSK test center in China and has been enrolling and cultivating international students since 1956.
Its pre-university program is designed to prepare international students for undergraduate programs offered by ECUST. Graduates of the program will be granted priority acceptance to ECUST.
The program is open to foreign nationals who have graduated from high school and are between the ages of 17 to 25 years old who wish to enroll in science and engineering programs at ECUST. It requires a Chinese proficiency level of HSK 3 or equivalent.
The program will help improve students' Chinese language proficiency, cross-cultural communication skills, and required academic abilities, according to the application guide.
Offline and online classes are both available to applicants. The offline classes are located at ECUST's Xuhui Campus in Shanghai.
Program courses include Chinese language skills, mathematics, physics, cultural lectures and language practice.
This year's program will be held from Sept 5 to Jan 6, 2023. The application deadline is Sept 16.
