Jiangnan University in Wuxi, East China's Jiangsu province recently organized a trip to Yixing, a county-level city in Wuxi, to help its international students better learn about Chinese history and culture.
The 26 international students from 10 different countries watched a tea ceremony at Qianyuan Tea Plantation which is located at the border of Jiangsu, Zhejiang, and Anhui, and learned about purple clay pottery, also called boccaro, which is native to Yixing.

The students also went to the museum of the New Fourth Army in Taihua Mountain and the south Jiangsu anti-Japanese base area to learn about the history of the War of Resistance against Japanese Aggression (1931-45).
A Nigerian postgraduate at the School of Biotechnology said that China's prosperity was hard won and international students in China should take the initiative to learn about Chinese history.
At Jiangsu CMZ Zipper Science and Technology Co, the president Shao Dajun showed the students around smart workshops as well as research and development centers. A Bengalese student from the School of Textile Science and Engineering said she would love to work at the company as CMZ Zipper has close trade relations with her home country.
