I came to China in 2019 to pursue my master's degree in Accounting at Zhongnan University of Economics and Law. It was quite exciting as well as challenging for me to move to a place that I had never visited before. Moving to a place where I knew nobody was in itself a challenge but it was not difficult for me to get accustomed to my new surroundings.

I can vividly recall the struggle I faced when I started learning Chinese language but things improved with time. This new chapter in my life, in a completely unique environment, gave me a sense of liberation. I slowly and gradually got accustomed to the fast-paced life in Wuhan, Hubei province.

It was not long after I settled in this new city that COVID-19 happened and suddenly everything changed into something beyond my comprehension. Never in my wildest dream did I expect something of this sort.

While many of the students went back to their home countries, I decided to stay put as I was sure that China has the potential to overcome any challenge within the minimum time possible.

The way the Chinese government handled things throughout the tough situation is highly commendable. It is no secret that through some of the most tiring efforts by the Chinese doctors, Wuhan gained back its glory.

Wuhan can be considered the crown jewel of Hubei province in Central China when it comes to education, breathtaking landscapes and captivating diversities in terms of modern development. From Yellow Crane Tower to Happy Valley, from East Lake to Mulan Grassland to magnanimous shopping centers, this city has a lot to offer. The remarkably well versed citizens of Wuhan made me feel welcome and accepted, it felt like I am at home.

China in general is a melting pot of exceptionally talented and extremely hardworking individuals. Living here provided me with an opportunity to meet people from diverse ethnicities. They enable me to grow as a person. I have become more open to change. I experienced new cuisines and came across different types of musical instruments with the most distinct and melodious sound.

When you get an opportunity to visit China, you should grab it without any second thought. There is so much to discover in this country, and you will not be able to forget the experience. If you plan to study here, let me tell you the faculty here is very watchful and welcoming. They teach with zest and conduct themselves with integrity while keeping the interest of students. .

Apart from all this, China is undoubtedly leading the world's economy. I look at the facilities available for general public and I am impressed. I believe that such facilities, which include digital payments, are quite essential in today's world as it not only ensures ease of doing business but also encourages transparency. Moreover, China's contribution towards combating climate change by shifting on electric and hydrogen powered vehicles is worth appreciating.

Furthermore, strong family values in China where grandparents and grandchildren spend most of their time together is another factor that makes the country more appealing as it depicts real happiness.

You should not hold back when considering China as your next destination. This place has a lot of potential, and I have witnessed it during my stay. I now believe that stepping outside your comfort zone will completely change your viewpoint on life. China, particularly Wuhan, now holds a special place in my heart. I now call Wuhan my second home.
