USTC Scholarship was set up by University of Science and Technology of China to provide an opportunity for excellent international students to study at USTC. USTC Scholarship has two categories: USTC Scholarship A for degree seeking students; USTC Scholarship B for non-degree students.
1. Coverage of the Scholarship
Tuition waiver;
Monthly stipend: Bachelor’s degree students: RMB 2,500 Yuan, Master’s degree students: RMB 3,000 Yuan, Doctoral degree students: RMB 3,500 Yuan; non-degree students will receive the same amount of stipend according to their educational level.
2. Programs available
All the programs offered at USTC for international students are open for the scholarship applicants.
3. General conditions for applicants
1) Applicants for USTC Scholarship A:
Non-Chinese citizenship;
Not an awardee of Chinese Government Scholarship;
Applicants for bachelor’s degree studies must hold a high school diploma and HSK Level 5 certificate and be under the age of 30;
Applicants for master’s degree studies must hold a bachelor’s degree (equivalent to bachelor’s degree in China) and be under the age of 35;
Applicants for doctoral degree studies must hold a master’s degree (equivalent to master’s degree in China) and be under the age of 40.
2) Applicants for USTC Scholarship B:
Non-Chinese citizenship;
Exchange students from USTC partner universities; or excellent students from world famous universities
4. Application time
1) USTC Scholarship A: from Dec.15th, 2017 to March 31st, 2018
2) USTC Scholarship B: March 1st, 2018 for 2018 fall semester; September 1st, 2018 for 2019 spring semester

2) USTC Scholarship B:
Applicants download and fill out the Application form for USTC Scholarship, contact with related professors for pre-acceptance, send all application documents to the hosting professor
