My studies at Wuhan University (WHU) were an unforgettable memory for me. WHU’s teachers taught me rich knowledge, experience and the principles of life.
My journey to China started in Sept 2016 when I came to study for my Master’s Degree in International Law and Chinese Law.
We Spanish are keen on knight novels. When I was in elementary school, teachers let us read novels about heroes’ adventures in the Middle Ages, among which the most famous one was Don Quixote.
After participating in the “Insight into China, Global Competency Social Practice” organized by the Practice Department of Graduate Youth League Committee of Tsinghua University, not only were my impression and understanding about the development of contemporary China and its long cultural history deepened, but also my longtime dream came true.
Coming from US state of Indiana with its vast cornfield where my “red neck” parents and five brothers and sisters have never left, I used to help my parents to do farm work since my childhood and never left my hometown until entering the college.
Inspired by the theme of the Boao Forum for Asia Annual Conference 2019 in March, which is “Shared Future, Concerted Action, Common Development”, one thought came up to my mind.
In the years when I studied in China, I came to realize that foreigners in China didn’t talk much about the development of Western countries such as the US and UK.
