As a soon-to-sophomore, I feel time really flies. Recalling about the past year, quite a few thoughts flood in my mind. There is no denying the fact that the memory is still so fresh, and it seems that all the things just happened yesterday!

A year ago, I underwent the college entrance examination and became a freshman of my university. When I was on campus, I found there were sharp differences between high school life and college life. First, college students are having collective lives in the dormitories with classmates who come from various places, and who may surely have different living habits and personalities. Second, college instructors, instead of giving us a fish, prefer to tell us how to fish, and they tend to inspire students to study and cope with problems independently. Eventually, in college, there is more free time for students to spend on.

How to make the most of spare time is of great significance to us. From my own perspective, if I just want to get the bachelor’s degree and diploma, my college life will be relatively easy and relaxed, but if I want to pursue my study and go to a graduate school, the pressure will not be less compared to high school.

Let’s take a look around my college life. Facilities first. I am so lucky that our university is equipped with an amazing library. Instead of studying on my own in the dormitory, I prefer to acquire knowledge in the library at any time. The university will also hold various lectures and seminars in the library from time to time, which are very helpful for my future career development. Besides, the colorful and diverse campus activities. I won’t miss the sports meetings, speech contests, different social gatherings and dancing parties, which can provide opportunities for me to make friends. In addition to these, I often eat out with my friends. For the people, food is heaven. Having various cuisines enable me to have a good mood after the classes and tests, or on weekends. Moreover, I sometimes go out to travel on weekends to enjoy the beautiful scenes. I really enjoy the opportunities to enjoy the big beautiful world. Recently I also had a Mount Tai climbing journey with classmates. In order to save some money, we chose to take a 15-hour train ride. To us, it is a fruitful and meaningful experience to know each other better.

Every coin has two sides, as a result there are also some downsides of my university life. It is a great pity that there's merely one student canteen on campus, so we often need to wait in a long line, which waste plenty of time every day. The dishes are not yummy enough so that we occasionally lose our appetite. However, when life gives you lemon, make lemonade. I can order some take-outs if I want.

In short, my life in university is busy but valuable. Books make me wise, teachers make me competent, and activities make me innovative. And it is equally important that God helps those who help themselves. I am one hundred percent sure that my college life will be super fruitful.
