Handan Campus
The International Students Dormitory of Fudan University on Handan campus is located in the north area (No. 57 Wudong Road, Shanghai, China). It is constituted by the main building, supplementary building and Asian Youth Center-accommodation center. It can accommodate up to 1530 international students.
Main Building:
The main building located northwest of Fudan campus is a 23 storey building with totally 728 rooms, 582 single rooms and 146 double rooms respectively. There are 5 elevators in the main building (in the middle of north and south lobbies).
The operational offices such as International Students' affairs center, reception, public activity room, public conference room and property management office are located on the first floor of the main building. The north lobby of the main building includes the reading area and cafe bar. The 24 hours reception desk and the mail boxes are in the south lobby of the main building. A Staff member manages the distribution of the incoming letters and package receipts. The basement of the main building is used as parking lot (bikes).
Each floor is equipped with 2 kitchens which provide hot water (non-potable water) at both ends of corridor. The kitchens are equipped with: induction cooker, washing machine (the card to access it can be purchased at the laundry room, Supplementary Building, Unit 4), and automatic water boiler (1). All the rooms in the main building are equipped with balconies, air-conditioner, private bathroom, internet access (you should buy card to use it).
Please note: The beds come with no beddings.
Supplementary Building:
All the 8 units of the supplementary building have altogether 448 single rooms. Each unit is a 7 storey unit. Each floor has two apartments. Each apartment has 4 single rooms, sitting room (1), bathrooms (2). Each of the single rooms have balconies, air-conditioner, internet access (you should buy card to use it).
There is a laundry room located in the supplementary building, Unit 4, and there are washing machines in Unit 2, Unit5 and Unit5. In case students find it more convenient to have their clothes washed instead of self service. Please note: The beds come with no beddings.
Students who chose to move on the units of the supplementary building need to take the stairs since there are no elevators installed.
Asian Youth Center-accommodation center (AYC for short):
Through investment of member of the Fudan school board Mr. Cao Qiyong, the Asian Youth Center was constructed with the aim of promoting mutual understanding and friendly interaction between Asian students, and to nurture the Asian leaders of tomorrow. It contains the accommodation center and the activity center. The accommodation center provides accommodation for both international students from Asian and Chinese students.
AYC has 4 units including 224 single rooms. Each unit is a 7 storey unit. Each floor has two apartments. Each apartment has 4 single rooms, sitting room (1), bathrooms (2). Each of the single rooms have balconies, air-conditioner, internet access (you should buy card to use it). There are washing machines in Unit 2 and Unit 3 of AYC.
Students who chose to move on the units of the supplementary building need to take the stairs since there are no elevators installed.
AYC doesn't support on-line booking. Announcement of application is issued every semester. Students apply independently and can move in after the school's approval.
Long-term students are those who will be studying at Fudan University for one semester or longer. Short-term students are those who will be studying for less than one semester.
Bedding is not provided in long-term accommodation rooms, and water and electricity are paid separately. Bedding is provided in short-term accommodation room, water and electricity is free in main building, electricity is free in supplementary building and AYC, and hot water for bath is paid separately.
Fenglin Campus
The International Students Dormitory of Fudan University on Fenglin campus is located on 130 Dong’an Road, Shanghai, China. It is a 6-floor building, consisted of 133 single rooms (12.6m2 each) and 16 double rooms (14.5m2 each). It can accommodate up to 165 international students.
There is one elevator in the building. The reception, public activity room, public study room and public laundry room are located on the first floor of the building. The reception provides 24-hour service.
Each floor is equipped with a kitchen with the microwave oven and the induction cooker.
Long-term students are those who will be studying at Fudan University for 120 days or longer, and short-term students are those who will be studying at Fudan University for less than 120 days.
Bedding fee, water fee and electricity fee are not included in long-term room fees.
