Energy demand and climate change are significant global challenges for the next few decades. To tackle these challenges, China announced an ambitious plan to have CO2 emission peak before 2030 and achieve carbon neutrality before 2060.
We are organising an Energy Geotechnics Webinar to promote Energy Geotechnics research and potential collaborations with Chinese academics and industry.

This webinar will cover the following topics:

  • Offshore foundation
  • Carbon geological storage
  • Shallow/deep geothermal
  • Nuclear waste disposal
  • Methane hydrate

The webinar will occur weekly or biweekly from Sep to Dec 2021. It will be hosted by Dr Budi Zhao from University College Dublin and co-hosted by Prof. Zhongxuan Yang from Zhejiang University.
