Sun briefed the delegation on BFSU’s training model for compound talents, and its international educational characteristics, as well as the development process and research achievements of its Centre for South Pacific Studies and Fijian language program.

BFSU, as the first university in China to offer courses on South Pacific languages, aims to introduce more educational resources through its cooperation with the USP, explore mutual learning among civilizations and advance teacher-student communication.

Ahluwalia spoke highly of BFSU’s South Pacific language curriculum, saying that the USP is willing to expand practical cooperation to promote South Pacific language teaching and research.

Subsequent to the meeting, the two sides signed a memorandum of understanding. Ahluwalia and his delegation also visited the School of English and International Studies at BFSU and talked with teachers at the Centre for South Pacific Studies.
